About Burl ColinsBorn and raised in North Vancouver, she completed the Blanche Macdonald Modeling Course in 1960 and later became a personal friend of Blanche. She has undertaken a variety of courses from Elocution, Popular Piano, Interior Decorating and many other self-improvement courses. After several years as a cosmetician and hairstylist, she married and moved to Nelson, BC to raise a family. She completely restored the old family home, which is featured on Knowledge Network, Heritage Homes in BC. IMAGE School of Manners presents their classes in this setting.
During the 1970's, Burl was Co-Director of Kootenay Children's Theatre and has had a variety of careers including Secretary/Bookkeeper, Office Assistant, Creative Drama Teacher, saleswomen, Proprietor of the Lakeside Coffee Cup and Online Corporate Book Seller for Amazon. In 2007 she returned to Gloria Starr Manners and Etiquette Agency in North Carolina to regain her training certificate.
